Originally incorporated on June 06, 2000, under Indian Laws, SGS held a Private Limited Company banner. Soon within December 2000, this was converted to Public Limited Company via a fresh Certificate of Incorporation. The going has not been long. But the meager capital of 1.81 Million of SGS in the year 2000-01 has already multiplied many folds. A modest turnover of 929.03 Million out of 9 months of business in 2000-01 has soared to a prestigious turnover over a period of few years in its dealings with Government Securities and Public Sector Bonds. We have thus reaped both Recognition and Trust in the Indian financial market from our fertile background where we have accentuated dedication and have also tried to ever broaden the range of services offered to the maximum benefit of our valued clients.

"Diversification" is the keyword for business at SGS. We are presently operating in and out in the Secondary Debt Market trading extensively in Government Securities / Bonds and Public Sector Undertaking Bonds, having registered a modest growth in turnover. SGS is also a competent player in the Primary Market Operations handling sales and fund mobilisation of Mutual Funds and IPO's and private placement of equity and debts. We have recently further diversified our activities by foraying into Insurance Agency business in collaboration with TATA-AIG Insurance Company Limited and Life Insurance Corporation of India Ltd. and have also ventured in the Fixed Deposit, RBI Bond, Capital Gain Bond, marketing & mobilisations and also as Issue Arranger.

In Public-sector under taking Maharashtra State Electricity Board , Karnataka State Financial Corporation, Indian Iron & Steel Co.
